Batteries, e-bikes and power banks / Portable batteries / Portable batteries of general use / Button and coin cells
Button, coin and lithium coin cells (CR2032, CR2025, LR44, SR626 and similar), sold on their own. A coin cell is a button or coin battery by definition (16 CFR 1263.2: a single cell battery with a diameter greater than its height), so the button-cell laws apply without a question; every law for general-use portable batteries reaches it too.
