Applies to products sold on or after 1 Jul 2028. Applies to every product in the category.
Act 54 Sec. 13(b)(1)(C): 9 V.S.A. §2494f(a)(4) (cookware) takes effect July 1, 2028; the other items of §2494f(a) take effect January 1, 2026 (cleaning products and dental floss July 1, 2027). Cookware (§2494e(6)): durable houseware items used to prepare, dispense, or store food, foodstuffs, or beverages and intended for direct food contact; disposables are not durable.
PFAS as defined in Vermont (US state): every market“9 V.S.A. § 2494f(a)(4) (cookware) shall take effect July 1, 2028.”
